2006-2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press and release the stem in the lower center of the instrument cluster until the OIL LIFE message is displayed.
Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET messages appear, press and hold the stem until several beeps sound. This confirms that the oil life system has been reset.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2003
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the fuel information button (located on instrument panel cluster above steering column) until ENGINE OIL LIFE appears in the display.
Press and hold the select button (arrow button) for 5 seconds while ENGINE OIL LIFE is displayed. OIL LIFE RESET will appear on the display for 10 seconds to let you know the system is reset.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2004-2007
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after step 1 press and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. If the OIL LIFE RESET message flashes for 10 seconds, the system is resetting.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2008-2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC by pressing the (i) button.
Press and hold the SET/RESET button (check mark button) on the DIC for more than 5 seconds. The oil life will change to 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2000-2005
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the TRIP button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the “MAINT REQD” indicator goes out.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2006
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
If the engine oil life is not displayed, press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel repeatedly until it is.
Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on the multi information display.
Select RESET by pressing the INFO (▲/▼) button, then press the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
*Models equipped with the keyless access system have an engine start/stop button instead of an switch. ON Mode is equivalent of ignition (II).
1997-1998
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the RESET button for 5 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
1999
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SETUP control to access the System Check function. Press RESET to start the system check function.
Press and hold the RESET control when “OIL LIFE XX% HOLD RESET NEW” is displayed.
After a successful reset, the message centre will display “OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%”.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2000-2003
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SETUP control to access the System Check function.
Press and release the RESET control to display OIL LIFE XX% HOLD RESET NEW.
Press and hold the RESET control for 2 seconds to display IF NEW OIL HOLD RESET.
Press and hold the RESET control to display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%. Your oil life is now reset.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2005-2007
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the STATUS control to access the System Check function.
Press RESET to reset oil %.
Press and hold the RESET control to set to 100%. After a successful reset, the message centre will display OIL LIFE SET TO 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
