Oil service reset Saturn Outlook

2007-2009

If your vehicle does not have Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons:
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the trip odometer reset stem until OIL LIFE REMAINING displays.
Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem until OIL LIFE REMAINING shows 100%. You will hear 3 chimes and the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will go off.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

If your vehicle has Driver Information Center (DIC) buttons:
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the vehicle information button (square) until OIL LIFE REMAINING displays.
Press and hold the set/reset button (arrow) until 100% is displayed. You will hear 3 chimes and the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will go off.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Oil service reset Saturn Astra

2008

Turn the ignition key to OFF.
Press the instrument panel cluster stem until the odometer is displayed.
Press and hold the cluster stem until the letters “InSP” are displayed.
Hold the cluster stem down and turn the ignition key to RUN (one position before starting engine).
The letters “InSP” in the instrument panel cluster display will flash.
Keep the cluster stem down for at least 20 seconds and then release the stem. If the letters “InSP” and the remaining mileage for the next oil change appear in the instrument panel cluster display, the system is properly reset. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2009

Turn the ignition key to LOCK/OFF.
Press the instrument panel cluster stem until the odometer is displayed, then release the stem.
Re-press and hold the cluster stem until the letters “InSP” are displayed.
Press and hold the brake pedal down, hold the cluster stem down, and turn the ignition key to RUN (one position before starting engine).
The letters “InSP” in the instrument panel cluster display will flash.
Keep the cluster stem down for at least 10 seconds and release the stem and the brake pedal when the message “new remaining mileage” is displayed. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Oil service reset Chevrolet GMC Trucks Suburban/Tahoe/Yukon

2000-2006

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
If the Change Oil Soon light flashes the system is resetting.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2007-2010

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC (i button). If the vehicle does not have DIC buttons, the vehicle must be in P (Park) to access this display by pressing the trip odometer reset stem.
Press and hold the SET/RESET (check mark) button on the DIC , or the trip odometer reset stem if vehicle does not have DIC buttons for more than 5 seconds. The oil life will change to 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

or

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC. If the display shows 100%, the system is reset. If the vehicle has a CHANGE OIL SOON message this should be off.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Oil service reset Chevrolet GMC Trucks Traverse

2009-2010

With Driver Information Centre (DIC):
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the vehicle information button (i) until OIL LIFE REMAINING displays.
Press and hold the SET/RESET (check mark) button until 100% is displayed. You will hear 3 chimes and the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will go off.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
Without Driver Information Centre (DIC):
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine). The vehicle must be in PARK (P) to access this display. Press the trip odometer reset stem until OIL LIFE REMAINING displays.
Press and hold the trip odometer reset stem until OIL LIFE REMAINING shows 100%. You will hear 3 chimes and the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message will go off.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Oil service reset Chevrolet GMC Trucks C-K Series Trucks

1999-2000

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. If the light flashes 2 times the system is reset. If the light comes on and stays on for 5 seconds the system did not reset.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2001-2007

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
If the Change Oil Soon light flashes the system is resetting.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2008-2010

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC (i button). If the vehicle does not have DIC buttons, the vehicle must be in P (Park) to access this display by pressing the trip odometer reset stem.
Press and hold the SET/RESET (arrow) button on the DIC, or the trip odometer reset stem if the vehicle does not have DIC buttons for more than 5 seconds. The oil life will change to 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC to verify it is at 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
