Oil service reset Pontiac 6000

1985-1991

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press and release the SERVICE REMINDER button until the desired item is displayed.
When the desired item is displayed, do not release SERVICE REMINDER button.
After button has been pressed for approximately 10 seconds, the service interval mileage display will begin to count down in 500 mile/km intervals.
When desired service interval mileage is reached, release button.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Oil service reset Chevrolet GMC Trucks Colorado/Canyon

2004

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Display OIL LIFE on the DIC by pressing the reset stem button.
Press and hold the reset stem. The oil life will change to 100% and a beep will sound.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2005-2010

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press and release the TRIP/RESET stem button in the DIC until the OIL LIFE message is displayed (located in the lower centre of instrument cluster).
Once the alternating OIL LIFE and RESET messages appear on the DIC display, press and hold the reset stem until several beeps sound. This confirms that the oil life system has been reset.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2002-2006

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
If the Change Oil Soon light flashes the system is resetting.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

2007-2010

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC (i) button. If the vehicle does not have DIC buttons, the vehicle must be in P (Park) to access this display.
Press and hold the SET/RESET (check mark) button on the DIC, or the trip odometer reset stem if the vehicle does not have DIC buttons for more than 5 seconds. The oil life will change to 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Immediately after Step 1 press and release the gas pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
Display the OIL LIFE REMAINING on the DIC to verify it is at 100%.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1993-1999

Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press and hold the button located under the speedometer.
Switch ignition off and release button. Message OIL appears in the display.
Press MINUTE button of digital clock or button for setting analog clock only as long as 5 dashes appears in display
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.

1993-1999
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press and hold the button located under the speedometer.
Switch ignition off and release button. Message OIL appears in the display.
