Reset Your Service Light Peugeot

If that spanner symbol has come up on your dashboard then it’s time your car was due a service. The symbol is just a periodic reminder, it doesn’t actually come up to denote a fault – the ‘check engine’ symbol does that.

If you service the car yourself and want to reset it or your garage has forgotten to reset it, you can do it yourself quite easily with the following simple steps:

This will work with the following models:

Peugeot 106 (1999 on)
Peugeot 206 (1998 on)
Peugeot 306 (1996 on)
Peugeot 307 (1996 on)
Peugeot 406 (1998 on)
Peugeot 607 (2000 on)
Peugeot 806 (1999 on)
Peugeot Expert (1999 on)
Peugeot 807 (2002 on)
Peugeot Partner (1999 on)
Peugeot Boxer (2002 on)

Procedure to Reset Peugeot Service Light as follows:

1. Switch the Ignition Off

2. Press and hold the tripmeter (mileage reset) button on the dash

3. Now switch the ignition to the ON position

4. Keep the button pressed for 10 seconds

5. The display will read ‘0’ and the service symbol will extinguish. Job done.

Audi A4 (2001-2007)

For Fixed Interval servicing, you can use the following procedure:

Below and to the right of the speedometer are three buttons – the right-hand button of these three is usually labelled “0,0”, and the centre button labelled with a spanner/wrench symbol.
Start with the key in, but the ignition turned OFF
Press and hold the Spanner button, while turning the ignition on (position 2)
Release the Spanner button
“SERVICE” should now appear on the display
Press and hold the 0,0 button until the display shows “SERVICE IN xxxx Miles / Kilometres”
Release the 0,0 button, then turn off the ignition

Audi A8 (1994-2004)

Towards the bottom-right corner of the instrument cluster there should be a button labelled “0,0”
Start with the key in, but the ignition turned OFF
Press and hold the 0,0 button, while turning the ignition on (position 2)
Release the 0,0 button
“SERVICE” should now appear on the display
Press and hold the 0,0 button until the display shows “SERVICE IN xxxx Miles / Kilometres”
Release the 0,0 button, then turn off the ignition

For Fixed Interval servicing, you can use the following procedure:
Start with the key in, but the ignition turned OFF
Press and hold the button on the right of the display, while turning the ignition one click (to position 1)
Release the button on the right
“SERVICE” should now appear on the display
Press and hold the button on the left of the display until it shows “SERVICE IN xxxx Miles / Kilometres”
Release the left button, then turn off the ignition

BMW 2001 to current

Ignition Off (Position 0)
Press and Hold the trip odometer button while turning key to position 1 (ACCESSORY)
Keep the button depressed (about 5 secs.) until you see “Oil Service” or “Inspection” with “Reset” or “Re” in the display*
Press the button again and hold for approx. 5 secs. until “Reset” or “Re” flashes
While the display is flashing, briefly press the button again to reset the Service Interval. After the display has shown the new interval you should see “END SIA” for about 2 seconds
Note: that if the “Reset” or “Re” does not flash, then you have not met the minimum consumption level and cannot reset

*Note: On vehicles with “High” cluster, you will also see the amount of fuel (in litres) remaining until next service
