2000-2005
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the TRIP button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the “MAINT REQD” indicator goes out.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2006
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
If the engine oil life is not displayed, press the SEL/RESET button on the steering wheel repeatedly until it is.
Press and hold the SEL/RESET button for more than 10 seconds. The remaining engine oil life reset mode will be shown on the multi information display.
Select RESET by pressing the INFO (▲/▼) button, then press the SEL/RESET button to reset the engine oil life display. The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
*Models equipped with the keyless access system have an engine start/stop button instead of an switch. ON Mode is equivalent of ignition (II).
2007-2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SELECT/RESET knob repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 5 seconds. The maintenance items code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2003-2006
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2007-2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SELECT/RESET knob repeatedly until the engine oil life indicator is displayed.
Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 10 seconds. The engine oil life indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
Press the SELECT/RESET knob for more than 5 seconds. The maintenance items code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
1984-1990
Insert ignition key into slot below indicator flag at lower right corner of instrument cluster.
Push key in until indicator changes from red to green.
1997-1999
Insert ignition key into centre slot located on the front of the instrument cluster. When reset, the indicator changes to green.
2000-2001
Reset the coloured indicator by inserting your key in the slot beside the indicator.
2002-2006
Turn off the engine.
Press and hold the SELECT/RESET button in the instrument panel and turn the ignition switch to run (one position before starting).
Hold the button for at least 10 seconds, until the indicator resets.
Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
2007-2010
Turn the ignition to run (one position before starting engine).
Press the SELECT/RESET knob repeatedly until the engine oil life is displayed.
Press the SELECT/RESET knob for about 10 seconds. The information display shows the reset mode initial display.
Select the ëëOIL LIFEíí indicator by turning the SELECT/RESET knob. The display begins to blink. Push the same knob to enter this setting.
The engine oil life and the maintenance item code(s) will begin to blink. Press the SELECT/ reset knob for another 5 seconds.
The maintenance item code(s) will disappear, and the engine oil life will reset to 100. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
